I started a 100-day Workout Challenge last year and this is a record of my experience.  I’ll post five days at a time Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until I am through it, then I will update where I am now and will start posting real-time weekly journals thereafter.

100 Day Workout Challenge Day 6. Kind of bummed tonight. I mean, I did my laps today at the pool, in fact, I did 25, cause Jane went with me and she did 25 so I couldn’t let her top me 🙂.  The intermittent fasting still is going well but I am wanting to eat something right now (more probably due to emotional craving than physical though).

100 Day Workout Challenge Day 7. Well, last night I broke the fast. I felt dizzy and couldn’t sleep. But I tried to choose wisely So I had some of franks steak maybe a couple ounces and a couple pieces of mozzarella cheese. All high in protein. It worked and I was able to sleep Did 23 laps swimming and was able to keep the fast tonight. I need to learn to prepare for some stress, if I am feeling hungry, I usually don’t succumb, but if I am feeling hungry and emotionally down, it is very difficult for me to stick with the IF (Intermittent Fasting)

100 Day Workout Challenge Day 8. Today I got paid, I am experiencing a lot of financial stress and the money was all gone instantly. What’s worse I was unable to go swimming because I got a ticket a few days before and I didn’t have my copy of insurance in my car (even though I am covered) and had to submit proof to avoid a 300.00 fine. Anyway, they didn’t accept the paperwork I had and it took a lot of running around between me and my agent to resolve. My insurance agent ended up having to call them personally to verify. So now I have to workout after I get off work at midnight, even though I am not feeling really well (physically or emotionally) I WILL DO THIS!!!!!

100 Day Workout Challenge Day 9. I am almost 10% through. So last night I did, in fact, work out. It was somewhat abbreviated (40 minutes) but hey, it still counts. I had to work early today, so again I wasn’t able to go swimming but I went on a hike around the nature trail at unity village. It’s about a two-mile loop and very pretty. Due to time constraints, I only walked a mile and turned back (so total of two miles). On Tuesday I don’t have to be at work until 7pm, so I plan to get up early and go hike the entire loop then go to the Y and swim. As far as the intermittent fasting didn’t have any hunger craving when I got home after gym last night. Hopefully, I am adapting to the 8hr food window/ 16hr fasting. Overall I feel really good and except for Tuesday.

100 Day Workout Challenge Day 10. Woo hoo! 10% of the way through. I need to find little things to help bolster my spirit. Especially since this is still so new and there’s so much to go. Still not able to swim. Had OT and so I had very little time, did walk for about two miles on the unity village nature trail.I’m wondering, what exactly constitutes a ‘hike’ is it walking outdoor in nature, on like a nature trail? It sounds cooler to say i hiked two miles than saying i walked two miles. IF still going well. On some nights i break down and eat a dill pickle but it’s only got 5 calories and it helps staunch the desire for salty/crunchy
