I started a 100-day Workout Challenge last year and this is a record of my experience. I’ll post five days at a time Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until I am through it, then I will update where I am now and will start posting real-time weekly journals thereafter.
100 Day Workout Challenge Day Sweet 16. I am going to choose to see the glass as one-quarter full and not three-quarters empty from yesterday. Sure, I exceeded the calorie count and I broke the fast, but I still managed to exercise and keep the 100-day challenge alive. Yes, it was only 30 minutes, but when I started the challenge the rule was a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity a day. Now most days I do around an hour there have been several where I have done two, but a few where I scraped by on the 30. This was to give me an out on ‘bad days’. As far as today, I did 55 minutes swimming laps and am back on IF well it remains to be seen, I still have to go home and avoid the kitchen. But all in all, I am relieved that I was able to bounce back from yesterday. I have extreme fatigue. I am so looking forward to some time off.
100 Day Workout Challenge Day 17. I could not get out of bed this morning. So I ended up missing my chance to go swimming. I am going for a walk after work tonight at midnight. I kept my fast last night but felt the hunger pangs, I am guessing it was because I didn’t keep it for the last two nights prior. The way it seems to work for me is after about the third or fourth night, it becomes fairly easy, my body seems to adjust and I actually feel pretty good. If I fall off the wagon, I have to start over with the first few nights a bit rough. I am looking forward to the next four days off, I can actually have time to rest AND still have time to workout, but I just have to get through tonight first.
100 Day Workout Challenge Day 18. So Day 1 of my vacation I ended up sleeping late, Jane and I did manage to both do 25 laps at the pool. Did a lot of taking it easy but still managed workout and IF so it was a good day although wasn’t very short of caloric deficit since frank cooked steaks
100 Day Workout Challenge Day 19. Had the first dinner out since challenge began. Had a very small the first meal half cup beans and half cup rice to save my calories. We ate in a Vietnamese restaurant was worried I may be able to track calories, but luckily found dish online and was able to stay under goal. Also, did 90-minute walk on the nature trail at Shawnee Mission Park
100 Day Workout Challenge Day 20 (4th of July) Did today as a skip day on calories and IF But still did hour walk with Jane at unity Village while we watched fireworks
