Every day from now until Spring, I will play a song from each year from 1940-2020. I’ll also write a little bit about the song and why I chose it to represent that year.
The is a form of singing called “close Harmony” in order to achieve the sound usually you have to be related to the person you sing with especially a sibling. The voices are nearly identical but different enough to create a musical texture. You hear this style a lot in bluegrass and country. The Everly Brothers are one of the best examples of this style of harmony.
