Located at the University of Maryland College Park Campus you can find a statue of alumni Jim Henson and his most famous creation Kermit having a tete a tete. They are seated on a red granite bench (although by this picture you’d never know it.) The statue is part of a larger Jim Henson memorial garden which was funded by the graduating classes of 1994, 1998 and 1999. The statue was designed with the approval of the Henson estate and is a lovely spot to visit even on a chilly wintry day.
