Located in Springfield, Massachusetts the Dr. Seuss sculpture garden and museum honors their most famous resident. Born Theodor Seuss Geisel in 1904 he became world renown as an author and animator of a wide-ranging series of children’s books.  Such characters as the Lorax, Horton, the Grinch and his most famous creation the cat in the hat have came to life through his books.  These characters are all presented in a sculpture garden honoring the author. There is also a very nice museum honoring Dr. Seuss and featuring several interactive displays specially designed for children. You can also see where a lot of Seuss’ drawings and an office area where he often worked on his projects.
