Memories of Tortola

I visited the island of Tortola, the British Virgin Islands in November 2016. In less than a year later the island was almost entirely destroyed by Hurricane Irma. The rebuilding process is slow but unfolding. I hold memories of the warm sea waters and even warmer hearts of the local people.

We crossed the island looking for a nice beach. At the highest point on the island, several other of the British and American Virgin Island could be spotted.
The Island had many coves where yachts would weigh anchor.
The water was so warm, it felt like a soothing bath.
A perfect day for a walk
Yes, I know I need a shave but it was a beach day.
The island made for a beautiful sunset.
