Lake View Cemetery in Fall

One of America’s most beautiful Cemeteries, the Lake View in Cleveland Ohio is especially stunning in Autumn.

Lake View Cemetery was founded in 1869 on 70 acres overlooking Lake Erie. Over one hundred thousand people are buried here. Among some of the most famous include Rock pioneer Alan Freed, famous G-Man Eliott Ness, comic book artist Harvey Pekar, Billionaire John D. Rockefeller, and the 20th President of the United States James A. Garfield.

The most famous occupant of the cemetery is the mausoleum of the 20th U.S. President James Garfield. Garfield’s term was cut short when he was assassinated in 1881. He is interred in a massive crypt which is open to the public.

The burial chamber is lavish and has an observation deck.
